Your business?
I am the originator and co-founder of iTRAIN. iTRAIN offers
over 120 downloadable audio fitness programs that can be
heard and used on any MP3 player.
Major events or motivations that led you to this
business?
The growth of technology and the need to reach out to so
many different people with so many different fitness tastes. It
is hard to do that with just DVDs. The replication costs became
so expensive, and I wanted a way that I could keep creating
and inputting new workouts on a quarterly basis. The need for
a system that can please all audiences of all types. So I
created a team of amazing trainers with amazing talents.
ITRAIN also is so portable that we can do anything and go
anywhere with it. In addition to this, the motivation of music is
such a key to getting people to move and keep moving and
stay healthy. This is greatness of the portable music player.
Prior work experience, education, or specialized
knowledge that helped you?
I have a degree in Exercise Physiology, two years of film
school, and six years of working in the infomercial business. I
have also produced 11 DVDs and two infomercials of All The
Right Moves.
Your top three personality traits that have
contributed to your success?
Persistence -- The will to never give up.
Creativity.
Passion -- My passion is to help people create the body they
want.
The hardest issue you've had to deal with?
The cost of producing product is enormous and this is where
talent sometimes gets overwhelmed with business. I soon
discovered that the business side of things is just as important
as the creative side. You can have a great product, but with no
marketing dollars, it goes nowhere. Also, you can’t always
control your product unless you own it. When you do have
control and run your own business, it is very tiring but very
satisfying.
Most satisfying thing about your work?
When I get a letter from Jerusalem telling me that iTREAD (an
iTRAIN product) has changed someone's life. It is amazing
how far our talent can touch people.
Future plans and/or dreams for your business?
At this point, I want to keep iTRAIN as solid as it is and make
everyone happy, and I will tell my furture plans in the future.
Favorite fitness activity?
Running, yoga, and ballet.
Hobbies?
Relaxing when I can and enjoying time with others.
Favorite place to vacation?
Hawaii.
