Although designed for those new to or just getting back to exercise, this stretching workout is an excellent addition to anyone's program. This 30-minute routine features a number of very nice stretches that are held long enough to be beneficial. Sometimes the stretch exercises on other DVDs are just too short to be of any lasting benefit, but that isn't the case here. Another plus is that these aren't necessarily 'easy' stretches as one might find on other DVDs targeted toward beginners. Instead, Susan Powter gives you the real thing, and then offers modifications for those who aren't yet ready for the complete stretch. Susan herself is warm and encouraging, but not sappy or coddling. And though she has a reputation for being a little 'quirky,' she's really toned it down here. I personally found this to be a very likeable workout. |
