Don't confuse 'basic' with 'easy.' In this slow-and-heavy 30-minute workout, Lynn Hahn pulls together the basic strength training exercises anyone should do as a minimum. You'll generally do 10 reps of an exercise using heavy weights, and then move on to the next -- making it time-efficient and effective. There is a separate chapter with form pointers and safety tips. Beginner through advanced level exercisers will all find value here. Beginners are encouraged to use poundage that is best for them, while the more advanced are encouraged to heavy up. |
